This wonderful little mountain home has been in our family for generations, and we come here whenever we visit the area. It has been updated recently, and we have decided to begin sharing it with guests. It is in a peaceful setting just outside Brevard, and it's convenient to all the wonderful outdoor activites and attractions that make our area so appealing. FREE activities for stays under 29 nights, including Biltmore, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, Snow Tubing and Axe Throwing.

Everything here is located on the upper level. An open floor plan makes this the perfect home for entertaining. The living space has a large TV and comfy seating, and adjoins the dining area and the well stocked kitchen. We love the big bathroom, and three cozy bedrooms await just down the hall. We have a record player and a record collection in the living room, and through the sliding glass doors you will find a nice deck with adirondack chairs where you can enjoy the view of the neighbor's pond. There is a charcoal grill on the deck as well.

Brevard is home to the renowned Brevard Music Center, and is host to annual festivals including the White Squirrel Festival in early June, great 4th of July festivals, the Mountain Song Festival every September, and lots of fun activities on Halloween (Brevard is in Transylvania County, after all). Be sure to check out the event calendar for the Porter Center, which is the performing arts venue for Brevard College. You should check out Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest, both a short drive away, and it takes only about 20 minutes to get to the beautiful Gorges State Park. Asheville and Hendersonville are both nearby, and they feature lots of attractions if you want to take a day trip or two.

"This place was perfection! It has everything you’d want in a mountain house. I loved the open floor plan and cozy atmosphere. Our go-to place

"We’ve stayed here twice. When we’re in the area, this is our go-to place. It’s very quiet and the host has always responded quickly and effectively. The space is large and open and it’s easy to get comfortable and want to extend your stay. The only thing I might want to say that could be a con is that the ramp is way too steep. Otherwise, everything else is great.

"Clean, comfortable and cozy. The beds and pillows were in great condition., rooms were well appointed. Note there is only 1 bathroom, kitchen has no dishwasher and basic items.
The house is good for a place to stay and get a good nights rest.

"House was clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Very close to the good hiking trails for Dupont State Forest and an easy drive into downtown Brevard. The property manager was very helpful and responded immediately to any questions we had.

Great cottage in convenient and beautiful location

"House was easy to find, served as an excellent base of operations for the surrounding many many great activities (hiking, canoeing, restaurants.

The rental agency/owner was fabulous in communication before, on the day of, and after the rental. Very helpful. We had a plumbing issue one day and they got right on it to fix the problem.

The only small downside of the property is that there is only 1 toilet in the house (3 bedrooms). This is obviously clearly stated in the description, I just missed it when searching by # bedrooms. No complaint really, just a reminder to renters to scan for # bedrooms AND # bathrooms.

Everything else about the house was great. Kitchen was extremely well stocked and great for a cook to work in.
