FREE activities for stays under 29 nights, including Biltmore, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, Snow Tubing and Axe Throwing. This beautiful home is less than 10 minutes from downtown Brevard and has easy access to DuPont state forest and Pisgah National Forest. The single level home is on a flat lot with easy access. It's very private, great for bikers and convenient to local attractions. There is a fenced back yard for dogs, and the house is on a huge lot looking out toward the French Broad River valley with mountains in the distance.

The home is called Shea Farm and until a couple years ago it was an active farm that grew produce that was donated to the local food bank. There are fruit trees, flowers and lots of food crops still growing so if you find that spending time in the garden is theraputic there is a lot to like about Shea Farm. This home is easy to access in the flat area overlooking the French Broad River valley with a beautiful view of the mountains beyond. No mountain roads to navigate, and easy to get into the house, up just a couple of steps to the front porch.

It's only about an eight minute drive to downtown Brevard where you will find a wonderful assortment of shops, restaurants, museums and breweries. Come and visit the Porter Center at Brevard College for musical and other events, and check out Brevard Music Center for the Mountain Song Festival and lots of wonderful concerts during the summer months.

This area is a haven for cyclists and you will find miles of great roads for biking. If you want some off-road action, there are lots of opportunities for mountain biking as well. There is secure storage in the garage for your bikes and gear, and there's even a bike rack if you need to do some bike maintenance.

Brevard is home to lots of waterfalls and is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can enjoy biking, hiking and scenic drives. There are plenty of opportunities for camping, sightseeing, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Be sure to take a day trip to the Biltmore Estate and spend a day in Asheville. Hendersonville and Asheville are both only about a 40 minute drive.

"Liked everything about Shea Farm. We had three couples staying there the first week (three generations of our family). Second week, we were on our own. Overall, house was perfect for us. Easy to get into downtown Brevard, and easy drive to some really great hiking and great waterfalls. Enjoyed golf at Connestee Falls Golf Club (scenic course in great condition). We were really impressed by the number of really good restaurants in Brevard, and Brevard Music Center is terrific.

"The home was very comfortable and had a large kitchen and family room, which was great for our group of six - my husband and me and our son and his family. The home was well stocked including kit utensils pots pans bath towels etc. The location was close to both Brevard and Hendersonville, which we visited as well as multiple trips on the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking and waterfall viewing! Would definitely recommend.

Great house in perfect location

"The house was an open floor plan and very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. They provided coffee - including decaf. Many places don't have a kettle for tea so I was delighted to find a kettle for tea drinkers. We used the hot tub a couple of times which was a real treat. We found it so nice to sit on the screened deck and listen to the birds and relax after hiking all the local trails. My husband loved playing golf at the neighborhood golf course. Really enjoyed ourselves.

"This house was very clean and well-suppplied with linens and kitchen equipment. The house is lovely and has a marvelous master bath. We loved it and hope to return. It was comfortable for our children, and we appreciated being able to bring our dog. The fenced back yard was great for the dog, and the kids enjoyed climbing the trees. "Great home, peaceful location, enjoyable get a way!! Perfect place for those who enjoy a country feel, and a little privacy, but like being close to town. Lovely and welcoming, stocked with everything we needed to feel at home. We enjoyed breakfast on the back porch every morning, so peaceful!!
