"This was our second time visiting at this airbnb and it felt like coming home. We love this airbnb so much! The photos of the backyard show a chainlink fence but there is actually a taller wooden fence so it is private and perfect for dogs. The furniture is so comfortable. There are so many shops and restaurants that you can easily walk to. We loved sitting on the front porch! The lockable shed came in handy as well. Highly recommend!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Shack. The rental was clean, the kitchen and bath well-stocked, and the location (just a few short blocks off Main) was exceptional. Much of our at home time was spent in the fenced in back yard with our pet, being entertained by Brevard's famous white squirrels ( three at once!). Thank you for a lovely vacation.

"We were in Brevard for a birthday celebration and it just happened to fall during the White Squirrel Festival which we were able to walk too. "Sugar Shack was a nice, clean and unique space. It’s pretty small but also has an outside space and front porch. TV is streaming only (which I guess is normal now), den furniture sorta comfortable and the one-of-a-kind touches (wooden ironing board as bar) are special touches not to be seen elsewhere. We didn’t have a pet but nice that we could have. Would recommend to anyone wanting to be in a space close to downtown business district. And loved Brevard Music Center event space….was there for a wedding.

"We had an excellent stay here! The decor was so cute and comfortable. There was plenty of space and we felt right at home. The backyard is even better than advertised by the pictures because they have put up a new, wooden fence with a sturdy gate that is even more private which was so nice for the dogs. There was a shed we could lock additional items like outdoor gear. The front porch was so nice to relax at. It was easy to walk to restaurants in town. I can't wait to stay here again!

"Myself and a friend come to Brevard each spring to ride road and mountain bikes. This year we had a couple more guys want to join us, so we needed a bigger house. This one looked like it would fit the bill. Brevard's a cool town near great riding. The locals are friendly and there's a great vibe in town with plenty to do off the bike. The house had 1 master suite with king bed, 1 guest bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with 2 twins. Really only room for 4 unless you have couples. Everything else was great, cable, wifi, full kitchen, laundry, dining room and a screened porch and 2nd bathroom. It also has a garage, which was nice for stowing bikes. It's within easy walking to downtown and the grocery which is great if you car-pooled with friends and plans diverge. We'd rent the house again if it's available. It's a cool little house in a nice wooded setting right off one of the main streets. It is a stone's throw from the bike path that links a lot of the town too, so you can ditch your car in many instances if you're there to ride. The level of finishes in the house wasn't the Ritz, but it was super for a week where we spent most of the days riding mountain bikes then cleaned up, went out for a few hours in the evening and crashed for the night.

It's a cool little house in a nice wooded setting right off one of the main streets. It is a stone's throw from the bike path that links a lot of the town too, so you can ditch your car in many instances if you're there to ride. The level of finishes in the house wasn't the Ritz, but it was super for a week where we spent most of the days riding mountain bikes then cleaned up, went out for a few hours in the evening and crashed for the night.

"Myself and a friend come to Brevard each spring to ride road and mountain bikes. This year we had a couple more guys want to join us, so we needed a bigger house. This one looked like it would fit the bill. Brevard's a cool town near great riding. The locals are friendly and there's a great vibe in town with plenty to do off the bike. The house had 1 master suite with king bed, 1 guest bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with 2 twins. Really only room for 4 unless you have couples. Everything else was great, cable, wifi, full kitchen, laundry, dining room and a screened porch and 2nd bathroom. It also has a garage, which was nice for stowing bikes. It's within easy walking to downtown and the grocery which is great if you car-pooled with friends and plans diverge. We'd rent the house again if it's available. A gem of a property

"The pictures don’t do it justice. The Sugar Shack is a lovely eclectic gem blending farmhouse, industrial, mid century modern and Art Deco touches into a truly cozy and comfortable stay. High quality sheets made for a terrific night’s sleep, the shower head is high enough to easily accommodate a 6’4” guest, the Mitsubishi mini-splits (we recently installed the central version of this system in our own home and love it) allow for individual bedrooms to enjoy different temperatures. The kitchen is well appointed, although with the number of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, I barely used it. The location is a block and a half away from the heart of Brevard, allowing for a short walk to a variety of terrific restaurants and shops, many of which are dog friendly. I particularly enjoyed the food at the Square Root and the outdoor patio at Marco Trattoria. DD Bullwinkel’s is an amazing outdoor gear store offering high quality clothing, gifts, and shoes in addition to hiking and camping gear. Upstairs they have the Map Room Tap Room where you can enjoy microbrews while selecting a variety of maps and guides to plan your outdoor excursions. Best of all was being nestled between Pisgah, DuPont, and Gorges parks offering a variety of hikes (easily completed 7 named waterfalls in 2 days with 2 small dogs) and coming “home” to shower up, leave the car parked and go enjoy a nice glass of wine with dinner before sinking into a restful slumber. Kudos to the owners. They knocked it out of the park.
